37 years of friendship - who would have thought?! Especially as I abandonded the UK in the year 2000 for warmer climes. It is a credit to you, Marie, that we kept the relationship as strong as ever, with letters, cards, expensive phonecalls (thank you for understanding Andrew), emails and ... eventually!... WhatsApp messages (you were a late adopter of this wonderful technology). I'm going to miss you. Who else is going to gently remind me that Mother's Day is around the corner so that I can get something off to my Mum in time? You were a friend in a million, the wind beneath my wings.
